Real support, real community, real new parenthood.

The fourth trimester doesn't get talked about enough.

Everyone asks about the baby. Not many people ask about you. How you're sleeping (or not). Whether you've eaten a proper meal. Whether you're actually okay.

At Nurtured Birth & Beyond, you matter just as much as your little one. Every session is designed to support you through those early weeks and beyond, without judgement, without pressure, and with a community of people who genuinely get it.

If you're a new parent in North Tyneside looking for baby classes that feel warm, small, and real, you're in the right place.

What other mums say:

"I'd really recommend all new mums to get booked in even if it's just for the social aspect of meeting other mums and babies."
Caitlin - 1st time Mum

"We feel very much at home at Bex’s studio. There’s refreshments on tap, changing facilities, comfy sofas (handy when you’re feeding), lots of toys, other parents to chat with and most of all Bex is there with her knowledge/training.
We’ve spent most of our maternity leave in Nurtured Birth & Beyond Studio and wouldn’t have spent it anywhere else.
I’m so glad I came across Nurtured Birth & Beyond on Facebook on a random day."

Sophie - 3rd time Mum

"The cuppas and chats with Bex and other mums have been lovely and the small numbers means a chance to connect."
Emily - 1st time Mum

So what makes Nurtured different?

Honest,
not polished

You don't need to have it all together here. Birth didn't go to plan? Struggling more than you expected? Feeling nothing like the Instagram version of motherhood?

Good. That's exactly what we talk about. No toxic positivity. No pressure to perform. Just honest conversation with people who genuinely get it.

A community that actually lasts

This isn't a six-week course that ends and leaves you to it.

These are ongoing classes in a small studio in Cullercoats where you'll see the same faces week after week.

Friendships form here. Real ones.

Evidence-informed
play

Every session is rooted in your baby's development, but without the pressure of getting it perfect. Simple, science-backed ways to support your baby's growth, built around what's actually joyful, not what looks good on a progress chart.

Frequently asked questions

How do I book?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

All classes and events can be booked through the website, simply click on the class or session you are interested in, scroll to the bottom of the page and clock 'BOOK HERE'. Spaces are limited across all sessions so booking ahead is essential.

Do I need to come to the walks every week?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

Not at all. Some people come every single week and it becomes part of their routine. Others dip in and out as life allows. There's no commitment, no register, and no guilt if you miss one. Just come when it works for you.

What if the weather is bad on a Thursday?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

We walk rain or shine, very much in keeping with the North East spirit! Bring a decent coat and you'll be absolutely fine. Any changes or cancellations will always be posted on Instagram first, so it's worth giving us a follow so you don't miss anything.

Can I bring a pram to the walks?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

Yes. The coastal path from Cullercoats Watch House is pram friendly. If you have any concerns about the route just drop me a message beforehand and I'll point you in the right direction.

Is this just for mums?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

Not at all. Any caregiver is welcome, whether that's mum, dad, grandparent, or anyone else doing the early months alongside a baby. Everyone belongs here.

What if my baby hates being on their tummy?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

Lots of babies do at first, and that's completely normal! That's actually one of the reasons Tummy Time Café is so useful. We'll work through it together and find positions and approaches that make tummy time feel less stressful for both of you. There's no pressure to nail it in one session.

I've never done yoga before, is that okay?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

Absolutely. You don't need any yoga experience whatsoever. Baby yoga isn't about being bendy or knowing the poses. It's about gentle movement, connection with your baby, and a bit of time to breathe. Everything is adapted for new parents and tiny babies, so you'll feel completely at ease from the very first session.

What should I bring?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

Just yourself and your baby. For studio sessions it's worth bringing your usual nappy bag essentials, a muslin or two, a change of clothes for baby, and a bottle of water for you. I provide mats, props, and refreshments. For the Nurtured Walk, bring a decent coat, your pram or carrier, and comfortable walking shoes.

What's the cost of each baby session?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

Baby yoga is £65 for a block of 4 sessions. Tummy Time Café is £7.50 per session, pay as you go. Seasonal Specials are £16.50 per parent and baby pair. The Nurtured Walk is completely free.

All classes are held at the Nurtured Birth & Beyond studio in Cullercoats, North Tyneside. The Nurtured Walk meets at Cullercoats Watch House every Thursday at 9:30am.

Do I need to commit to a full block of sessions?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

It depends on the class. Baby yoga is booked in blocks of 4 weeks. Tummy Time Café is completely pay as you go, so you can come when it works for you. Seasonal Specials are booked individually per event. The Nurtured Walk has no commitment at all, just book and turn up when you fancy it.

What if my baby is unsettled or cries the whole time?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

That's just babies being babies! Everyone in the room is in exactly the same boat. There's no such thing as a disruptive baby here. Feed, settle, change a nappy, do whatever you need to do. The sessions are led by your baby, not a rigid timetable.

I don't know anyone who goes. Will it be awkward?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

Honestly, everyone walks in feeling exactly like that. Groups are kept small and the atmosphere is deliberately relaxed, and there's something about being in a room full of people running on broken sleep and unconditional love that just breaks the ice naturally. Most people leave having swapped numbers.

How old does my baby need to be?
Plus Icon - Inner Webflow Template

It depends on the session. Tummy Time Café is suitable from birth. Baby yoga is suitable from 6 weeks, after your postnatal check. Seasonal Specials are suitable from birth. The Nurtured Walk is suitable from any age. If you're not sure, just get in touch and we'll figure it out together.
