By booking any course, class, session, or event with Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
These terms cover all services offered, including Bespoke Hypnobirthing (1:1, in-person and online), Nurtured Touch - Baby Massage, Baby Yoga & Mindful Mama, Tummy Time Café, Toddler Time Café, Seasonal Specials, Nurtured Walks, and gift vouchers.
1. Booking Confirmation and Payment
Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only once payment (full or deposit, where applicable) has been received and a confirmation email has been issued by Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd. Until that point, places are not guaranteed.
Bespoke Hypnobirthing (1:1, In-Person and Online)
- You may pay in full at the time of booking, or pay a deposit to secure your place.
- The remaining balance must be paid no later than two weeks before the course start date, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance.
- Payment is processed securely via the booking link, using Stripe or PayPal.
- Payment is made for the full course as advertised, not for individual sessions.
Nurtured Touch Baby Massage
- Payment must be made in full at the time of booking.
- Where baby massage is booked as a block of sessions, the block terms below apply.
- Places are limited for safety and comfort reasons, so booking is essential.
Baby Yoga & Mindful Mama
- Baby Yoga & Mindful Mama runs in blocks and payment for the full block is required in advance.
- By booking a block, you're confirming your availability for all dates listed.
Tummy Time Café and Toddler Time Café
- These are pay-as-you-go sessions. Payment is due before the session via the online booking system.
Seasonal Specials
- Payment for seasonal and one-off events must be made in full at the time of booking to secure your place, as spaces are limited.
Nurtured Walks
- Nurtured Walks are free to attend and do not require payment, but do require advance booking so I know numbers.
Block Bookings (Baby Yoga & Mindful Mama, Baby Massage, and other multi-session offerings)
- By booking a block, you are confirming your availability for all dates listed in that block.
- Payment is for the full block and must be made in advance.
- Refunds are not available for individual sessions within a block that you're unable to attend, and rescheduling of missed sessions is at the discretion of Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd, applied reasonably and with your individual circumstances taken into account.
Flexible Payment Terms
Any alternative or flexible payment arrangements must be agreed in writing prior to booking. Please contact bex@nurturedbirthandbeyond.co.uk to discuss this.
2. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
- Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you book online or by phone, you normally have 14 days from the date of booking to cancel and receive a full refund, even where these Terms and Conditions state that payments are otherwise non-refundable.
- By confirming a booking for a course, class, or session that is due to start within that 14-day period, you are agreeing to Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd beginning the service before the cooling-off period ends.
- Once a course, class, or session has started, or once you've attended one or more sessions, your right to a full refund under the cooling-off period no longer applies to the session(s) already delivered, though the exceptional circumstances discretion in Section 3 may still apply.
- To cancel within the cooling-off period, please email bex@nurturedbirthandbeyond.co.uk as soon as possible.
- This section applies in addition to, and does not replace, your other statutory rights as a consumer.
3. Refunds and Cancellations
- Outside of the cooling-off period above, payments are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances. Requests will be considered reasonably and with your individual circumstances taken into account, though refunds are not guaranteed under any specific situation.
- Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances, other than during the cooling-off period described in Section 2.
- If a participant cancels after one or more sessions have taken place, no refund will be given for sessions already delivered.
- Failure to attend a scheduled course, class, or session, for any reason, will not result in a refund or transfer unless agreed in advance.
- In the event that Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd must cancel a course, class, or event, all reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule.
- If rescheduling isn't possible, or alternative dates can't be agreed, a full refund of the total fee, or the proportionate amount for any sessions not yet taken, will be issued.
- If a group can't agree on an alternative date, individual arrangements may be made for affected participants.
- If an in-person course, class, or event can't take place due to circumstances beyond my control (including, but not limited to, extreme weather, illness, or government restrictions), the session(s) will either be rescheduled or, where appropriate, held online via live video link. No refund will be due in these circumstances. Where a session genuinely cannot be moved online (such as Nurtured Walks), it will be rescheduled instead.
- Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking at any time. In such cases, any fees already paid will be refunded in full unless the participant has breached these Terms and Conditions.
4. Rescheduling
Private 1:1 Courses
- A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to reschedule a session.
- Where less than 48 hours' notice is given, the participant remains liable for the session fee, calculated as the total course fee (minus the £50 deposit) divided by the number of sessions.
- Exceptions may be made in extenuating circumstances.
Group Courses, Blocks, and Booked Sessions (Baby Yoga & Mindful Mama, Baby Massage, Seasonal Specials)
- A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to reschedule or cancel a single booked session wherever possible.
- Missed sessions within a paid block are not automatically refunded or carried over, but where reasonable notice is given, I'll do my best to offer an alternative session, subject to availability.
- Exceptions may be made in extenuating circumstances, including baby illness.
Drop-in Sessions (Tummy Time Café, Toddler Time Café)
- If you can't make a session you've paid for in advance, please let me know as soon as possible. No refund will be given for missed drop-ins, but reasonable effort will be made to offer a reschedule.
5. Health, Safety, and Suitability
- All course and class content is provided for educational and wellbeing purposes only and must not be interpreted as medical advice.
- Participants are responsible for seeking guidance from an appropriate healthcare professional (such as a GP, midwife, or health visitor) regarding any medical, pregnancy, birth, or infant health concerns.
- Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd accepts no responsibility or liability for decisions made by participants in relation to their pregnancy, birth, or postnatal care.
- Participation in any course or class does not guarantee a specific birth, health, or developmental outcome.
Baby Massage — How Sessions Work, Contraindications, and Product Use
- In baby massage sessions, all strokes and techniques are demonstrated on a doll. Parents and carers then carry out the massage themselves, on their own baby, following along at their own pace. At no point do I handle or massage a participant's baby directly.
- Baby massage is suitable from around 4 weeks. For babies born prematurely, corrected age (rather than actual age) is used to determine readiness, and timing should be discussed with me in advance.
- If your baby has any skin conditions, allergies, recent illness, recent vaccinations, or any other health concern, please let me know before the session so we can discuss whether and how to proceed safely.
- Sessions use Tropic Skincare Little Roary baby oil. Parents and carers are responsible for carrying out a patch test on their own baby before the product is used, and should raise any concerns about product suitability we will make alternaive arrangements.
- As you are massaging your own baby throughout, you remain fully responsible for your baby at all times during the session, and should stop or pause at any point you feel is right for your baby.
Baby Yoga & Mindful Mama — Physical Participation
- Baby yoga involves movement and physical activity for both parent/carer and baby. Please make sure you're medically fit to take part, particularly if you're in postnatal recovery (for example, following a caesarean birth or with any ongoing pelvic floor concerns), and check with your GP or midwife first if you're unsure.
- Please let me know before the session of any injuries, physical limitations, or health conditions, for either yourself or your baby, that I should be aware of.
- You remain responsible for your baby and for judging what movements are appropriate for you both throughout the session.
Illness Exclusion Policy
- Please don't attend any in-person class or session (including baby massage, Baby Yoga & Mindful Mama, Tummy Time Café, Toddler Time Café, and Seasonal Specials) if you or your baby have a temperature, sickness or diarrhoea, a contagious illness or rash, or have been advised to isolate, until you're both well and, where relevant, outside any recommended exclusion period.
- This is to protect the wellbeing of everyone attending, including other babies who may be very young or vulnerable.
- Where illness prevents attendance, please refer to the rescheduling and refund terms above.
Qualifications, Insurance, and Safeguarding
- Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd holds relevant training and qualifications for the courses and classes delivered, and holds public liability insurance.
- A Privacy & Safeguarding Policy is available on the website and applies alongside these Terms and Conditions.
Conduct
- Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd reserves the right to ask a participant to leave a session, without refund, if their behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or puts themselves or others at risk.
General
- Any materials, recordings, or digital resources provided during a course are for personal use only and must not be copied, shared, or distributed.
- Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of nature, government actions, pandemic restrictions, or illness.
6. Liability
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
- Subject to the above, Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd's total liability to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant course, class, or session.
- Subject to the first bullet above, Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages or losses arising from participation in any course, class, or session.
7. Photography and Social Media
- Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken during in-person classes and events for use on Nurtured Birth & Beyond's website, social media accounts, and marketing materials.
- Before every session, you'll be invited to fill in a pre-attendance form. If you would prefer that you or your baby are not photographed or filmed, please indicate this on the form, or simply let me know, and this will always be respected.
- Personal information collected during the booking process will be handled in accordance with current UK data protection laws and Nurtured Birth & Beyond's Privacy & Safeguarding Policy, and used solely for the purpose of course administration and communication.
8. Gift Vouchers
Purchase and Validity
- Gift vouchers can be purchased for any Nurtured Birth & Beyond service, including bespoke hypnobirthing (in-person or online), baby massage, Baby Yoga & Mindful Mama, Tummy Time Café, Toddler Time Café, and Seasonal Specials. They can also be purchased for a specific monetary amount or a specific number of sessions.
- Each voucher is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated. Extensions can't be offered once a voucher has expired.
Redeeming Your Voucher
- To redeem a voucher, the recipient should contact Nurtured Birth & Beyond by emailing bex@nurturedbirthandbeyond.co.uk or messaging 07885 459283. Available dates will be provided and you can choose which one you'd like to book.
- Vouchers aren't tied to specific dates and can be used for any eligible course, class, or session within the 6-month validity period, subject to availability.
Value and Discounts
- Each voucher holds a specific monetary or course value as described at the time of purchase.
- Promotional discounts, such as Black Friday offers, apply only at the time of purchase and can't be applied retrospectively.
- Vouchers can't be exchanged for cash, refunded, or used alongside any other offer unless expressly stated.
Transferability
- Vouchers may be given as gifts but must not be resold or exchanged for money.
- Once redeemed, the booking is subject to the standard course and class Terms and Conditions relevant to that service.
Lost or Misplaced Vouchers
- Electronic vouchers are emailed to the purchaser upon checkout. If a voucher email is misplaced, the purchaser may request a resend to the original email address used at purchase.
Cancellation Policy
- Once purchased, vouchers are non-refundable, other than during the 14-day cooling-off period described in Section 2.
- If a course or class booked using a voucher needs to be rescheduled, the standard cancellation and rebooking policies for that service apply.
9. Complaints
- If you're unhappy with any aspect of a course, class, or session, please get in touch at bex@nurturedbirthandbeyond.co.uk so the issue can be looked into and resolved wherever possible.
- I aim to acknowledge complaints within 5 working days.
10. Disclaimer and Amendments
- Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any updates will be published on the website and take immediate effect for all future bookings.
- It's the responsibility of participants to review the Terms and Conditions prior to booking.
- If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be removed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
- Nurtured Birth & Beyond Ltd is a limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 16193908.
