Sometimes you need more than a standard course can offer. Maybe your first birth left you with anxiety you need to work through. Maybe you want space to ask the questions you'd feel awkward asking in a group. Maybe your partner needs extra support to really understand what you need from them this time. Whatever's brought you here, every single client I work with gets a bespoke 1:1 course. Not because it's a premium option, but because I genuinely believe everyone deserves preparation that's built around them, not a room full of strangers.
Book hereCompletely personalised. Built entirely around you.
Course Format
What's involved:
This isn't a standard antenatal class with a one-size-fits-all approach. Four sessions built entirely around you, covering everything from the science of birth and breathing techniques to comfort measures, what happens immediately after birth, and what the fourth trimester really looks like. Before we start you'll complete a pre-course questionnaire so I understand exactly what you need, and the support doesn't stop when the sessions do.
Before we even start
Before your first session you'll complete a pre-course questionnaire covering your previous birth experience if you have one, any anxieties you're carrying, what you need your partner to understand, and how you want the sessions to feel. It gives me everything I need to start building your course before we even meet. If anything needs more of a conversation I'll be in touch so we can make sure the course is exactly right for you.
4 bespoke sessions
The science of birth and your hormones. Breathing, relaxation and visualisation techniques. Creating the right birth environment. Comfort measures and everything in between. What happens on the day and immediately after, and a birth preferences workshop in your final session so you'll leave with a document you can actually believe in when the time comes.
Everything is shaped around what you need. Need to spend longer on managing anxiety? We stay there. Want to talk through a previous birth first? We start there. Your pace, your priorities, your course.

From someone who's been there
When I decided to do my hypnobirthing course, my husband was very sceptical about it. However, he listened to how much I wanted to do it and agreed to come along. After the first session he told me how valuable he felt it was and said "I wish we'd done this before our first was born"
I know first hand what it's like to have a birth that didn't go to plan and to carry anxiety into a second pregnancy. That's exactly why I offer 1:1 support, because sometimes you need dedicated time and space to work through those feelings and prepare differently this time.
What other mums say:
"Highly recommend anyone who is feeling overwhelmed and anxious approaching birth to approach bex. Her course was full of knowledge and was incredibly informative, walking away with such a clearer mindset and approach to given birth. I have gained a lot of knowledge over the last 4 weeks and feel eased as I approach my due date. It was also lovely to have my partner involved with this as he was not fully aware of what to expect either. Thank you Bex" - Erin, 1st time Mum
"I complete the course with Bex and thoroughly enjoyed it, each session was informative, engaging and interesting. Is birth preparation really worth the investment?
I hear you. It's a lot of money. But if you're asking that question, let me be honest with you.
Yes. It is.
You probably wouldn't think twice about spending £1,000 on a pram or £300 on a cot. And those things matter. But birth preparation matters just as much, if not more.
How you feel about your birth affects your recovery, your bonding, your confidence as a new parent, your relationship with your partner. This isn't just a course. It's an investment in how you'll feel about one of the most significant moments of your life, and how you carry that forward into parenthood.
Not sure if this is right for you?
Just get in touch. No pressure, no pitch, just an honest chat about what would actually work best for you.

So, what's next?
Frequently asked questions
Absolutely. The breathing and relaxation techniques are just as valuable during a caesarean as they are during any other birth. Staying calm, feeling informed, and knowing how to advocate for yourself matters in every birth room. A caesarean birth is still your birth and you deserve to feel prepared for it.
Not at all. The techniques work in any birth setting, whether you're planning a home birth, a hospital birth, a water birth, or a caesarean. They work alongside epidurals, they work during inductions, and they work when things don't go to plan. Real preparation means being ready for anything, not just the ideal scenario.
No, and anyone who tells you otherwise isn't being honest with you. What hypnobirthing does is give you tools to manage the intensity of labour, reduce fear and tension, and stay as calm and focused as possible. Many people find that changes their experience significantly. But every birth is different and the goal is always to feel prepared and in control, not to promise you a perfect outcome.
Hypnobirthing is a method of birth preparation that combines breathing techniques, relaxation, visualisation, and an understanding of how your mind and body work together during labour. The "hypno" part puts a lot of people off but it's not about being in a trance or losing control. It's actually the opposite. It's about feeling calm, informed, and in control of your experience, whatever that looks like.
Anytime between 16 and 34 weeks is ideal, though earlier is absolutely fine if you're feeling anxious. The earlier you start, the more time you have to practise the techniques until they feel second nature, and the longer I'm in your corner throughout your pregnancy. That ongoing support really does make a difference. If you're further along than 34 weeks, don't panic. Just get in touch and we'll figure out what works for your timeline. It's never too late to feel more prepared.
Yes. Sceptical partners are welcome here, in fact they're pretty common! Tell them to come along with an open mind and see what they think after the first session. The approach is rooted in science and psychology, not crystals and whale music. Most sceptical partners come out of the first session saying they wish they'd known about this sooner. It's practical, evidence based, and genuinely useful for them too, not just you.
Books and videos are great for information. But information on its own doesn't prepare you for birth. What actually makes a difference is knowing how to use the techniques when you're in the middle of a surge and your brain isn't in its calmest place. That takes practice, guidance, and someone who can tailor things to how you specifically respond under pressure. You'll also have ongoing support throughout your pregnancy so if something comes up, a difficult midwife appointment, a wobble at 3am, a question you forgot to ask, I'm there. No YouTube video can do that. And your partner gets to actually learn alongside you, not just read over your shoulder.
Honestly, it might be the most right for you. Working through a previous birth experience is something we can do together, at your pace. The 1:1 course is specifically designed for this, there's space to process what happened before, and then build genuine confidence for this time.
You can book your course directly through this website. Simply click onto 'Bespoke Hypnobirthing', click Book Here & choose the dates that suit you. You can choose to pay a £50 deposit to secure your space or pay in full, whichever works best for you.
We have a range of ways to support you through the fourth trimester and beyond. Baby yoga runs in weekly blocks and is suitable from 6 weeks. Tummy Time Café is a drop-in session suitable from birth, every Monday morning and afternoon. Seasonal Specials are monthly themed events for parents and babies. And the Nurtured Walk is a free weekly coastal walk every Thursday morning at Cullercoats, open to anyone who needs a bit of fresh air and good company. There's something here whatever stage you're at, and you're welcome to come to as many or as few as feel right for you
Honestly? A few things. My courses go beyond standard hypnobirthing techniques. You'll cover the science of birth, pain relief options, how to advocate for yourself in the room, and what to expect in those early postnatal weeks too. It's genuinely comprehensive. Every course also includes ongoing support throughout your pregnancy, not just during the sessions. And because I've been through a difficult birth myself and come out the other side, I'm not just teaching techniques I've read about. I know what it feels like, and that shapes everything about how I teach. There's also no one-size-fits-all here. Whether you choose 1:1, group, or online, the content is designed around real people, not a textbook.
